French Idiom

Since I struggle with regular, formal French, I usually don't usually try to learn idiomatic expressions.  However, I discovered one that really strikes a chord with me and I'm going to try to remember it.  It is:  Ne pas manger de ce pain-la.  The literal translation is:  not eating that kind of bread.  But it has a deeper meaning.  It means to not act in a way that goes against your personal values.  A good thought to keep in mind in all situations.  For a more detailed discussion of this idiom, go to to this blog post.

I've missed reading your blog - I'll be reading back through older posts, but don't feel you need to respond to every comment.

I've looked but can't find a way to subscribe by email, and since I'm not on Facebook or Blogger, getting here's a little awkward. I've got you in my special little "blogger system" now, so that will help.

Have you and Bill ever considered cross-linking your blogs? It would be convenient to be able to click on his from here, and yours from his blog. You may not want to do that, of course.

Idioms are wonderful, and this one especially so. I'm glad to have learned it.

Shoreacres, haven't thought about cross linking or having a subscribe button. Not very tech savvy but need to look into it. :)
