More Sustainable Living
Although I wrapped up my sustainable living series a while back, I still seek new ways to reduce my impact on the earth. I found a couple of posts on The Plastic-Free Chef that I found intriguing. One post is about making your own cottage cheese; the other is about making your own ricotta cheese (using homemade buttermilk). Both sound simple - and help cut down on plastic containers. I haven't tried these recipes but plan to do so in the near future. For the gourmets out there, she also has a recipe for homemade crème fraîche using the homemade buttermilk. Bon appetit!
