Cherie, great quote. However, I've learned over time that teaching kids doesn't mean that they will step into it right away. I was around Mom and gardening but didn't really desire to do any thing with it until I was in my 30s. I dabbled in gardening some but it just wasn't in the life plan at that time. So three decades later it finally matured and is in full bloom. Some times it just takes some time to allow the seeds of gardening to sprout. But the seeds can't sprout if they aren't planted. :-)
