I live on a sustainable family farm and work for a humanitarian aid organization. My goal is to have a simple beautiful life. The Quaker acronym SPICE (simplicity, peace, integrity, community, and equality) guides my life.
“There are two spiritual dangers in not owning a farm. One is the danger of supposing that breakfast comes from the grocery, and the other that heat comes from the furnace.”
Cherie, great quote. As I get older in life, I have come to understand that God provides every thing in life. Just life on this planet is such a delicate balance that it is amazing that it even exists. Should any one little thing get out of balance life would cease. The science of our solar system is such that there's just no way it all happened by chance. It really baffles me that scientists can look at how meticulously the universe has been put together and not know it was done divinely. It's not hard to figure out there is a God by just looking around at nature and the universe.
