I live on a sustainable family farm and work for a humanitarian aid organization. My goal is to have a simple beautiful life. The Quaker acronym SPICE (simplicity, peace, integrity, community, and equality) guides my life.
Cherie, focusing on the cosmos is so amazing. To think about just how insignificant one person is compared to the created universe, boggles my mind. Staring up into the sky at stars that are light years away wondering if they are even still there causes me to re think my importance in ration to any thing. On occasion I go to northern Nevada fishing for lake trout. It's about fifty miles in the middle of no where at an elevation of 6,000 feet. On a clear night the stars are so bright and close that it almost seems like one could reach out and touch them. I never really get tired of star watching on those nights.
David, when I was growing up we camped in the "high desert." At the higher elevation with the dry air, the stars were amazing - not at all like the city sky I grew up with.

Have a great universe cosmos contemplation day.
