Bill planted the fall gardens:
Bianca has overcome some of her shyness because she knows we will give her
Once again we proved that farm eggs are superior to store eggs (guess which one is ours):
We saw some interesting things around the farm.
These mushrooms growing at the base of an oak tree:
And this spider (hand photo included to give some perspective):
Georgia got some new clothes:
And we continue to have spectacular sunsets:
Have a great weekend!

I wouldn't want you to take my word for it, but I believe I've collecte4d those mushrooms before and they are beyond delicious! It's too bad you don't have someone who could identify them as such for you. Soooo tasty.
That is one big spider .. yikes! And all that planting, man, that is dedication to a way of life few people understand or are willing to undertake.
Teresa, I've been researching the mushrooms - they're either golden chanterelles or jack o'lanterns. Unfortunately, I think they're jack o'lanterns, which are poisonous, instead of the delicious chanterelles. I'm definitely taking a mushroom foraging class when I'm able. For the spider, it's typically called a garden spider and is supposed to be harmless to people. I wouldn't want to test it though!
Seeing the picture of the eggs really makes me miss my chickens. What do you plant in your fall garden?
Deanna, we have a wide variety of things for fall, including kale, broccoli, radicchio, Brussels sprouts, several varieties of lettuce, cauliflower, collard greens....Looking forward to an abundance to make up for the problems we had with our summer crops.
