Cherie, pets become such an integral part of the family. They entertain us. They comfort us. They can do useful things to help with life on a homestead. I'm sure that she had the best life a cat could have being in your family. My condolences and prayers for you and Bill both.
Thanks to everyone for the condolences. Dixie and I were extremely close and it was hard to let go of her. I'm glad she's not suffering anymore but I miss her terribly.
