And I really mean to do something about not having photos. :) We do seem to share a lot of beliefs. Maybe it comes from our Southern California roots?Cheriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06661705838389866476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2928117252460676054.post-52567366417559860102011-04-07T19:15:52.797-04:002011-04-07T19:15:52.797-04:00One of the first posts I read you mentioned being ...One of the first posts I read you mentioned being a Quaker. Add that to fact that we share many of the same social, environmental, and food beliefs I was quite interested in what you have to say. I will mention that yours is the only (for the most part) photo-less blog I read and I know I've mentioned several times how much I enjoy reading, but I'll mention it again.Shona~ LALA dex presshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07997153789350766344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2928117252460676054.post-40508525139070776842011-04-04T07:40:12.187-04:002011-04-04T07:40:12.187-04:00Richard,it's good to know others who have come...Richard,it's good to know others who have come to Quakerism later in life. Another thing I like about the liberal Quakers is that they recognize that we are all on a spiritual journey. I had a Methodist pastor tell me that one time and he added that "we are all on different points on that journey." Religions that tell us what our faith should look like don't take this into account.Cheriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06661705838389866476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2928117252460676054.post-66094330456296968102011-04-04T07:34:48.511-04:002011-04-04T07:34:48.511-04:00Gayle, it's nice to continue traditions that o...Gayle, it's nice to continue traditions that one had grown up with.

Thanks for visiting my blog!Cheriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06661705838389866476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2928117252460676054.post-73899642727574245462011-04-02T23:44:50.836-04:002011-04-02T23:44:50.836-04:00Thank you! I have a friend who is a Buddist and attends silent meetings, also identifying as a Quaker. The more I read about Liberal Friends the more this made sense. I am not sure I can or would want to give up all the celebrations, but celebrate as well as noting the sacred gift of each day.Gaylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08871445174509081095noreply@blogger.com
